Nothing much to update, since my LCD monitor is busted. Using my sister’s laptop now. Been trying to get a part time job to get the money to buy a new one, not going so well.

I sell cheaper than most Brunei shops. Right now, I’m dealing mostly in portable hard disks. I’m mainly doing this because I hate seeing my friends get ripped from Brunei computer shops. From my own personal experience, I’ve been ripped a few times. Prices are way over, and warranty from some shops just suck.

I’ve come to the conclusion that the prices are higher here since there is so little competition here in Brunei selling these things. I mean, just a couple of months ago, I saw someone selling the GTX 260 for BN$420!! I just find that outrageous, when I could get it from ordering online for so much cheaper. I’m a cheapskate. I’m not ashamed of it. I’ve done my research, I could get that card from Malaysia, and it would cost me a possible $80-$100 less. Possible cheaper.

I’ll give them that they need to earn a living, but come on.

Reasons are as follows-

1) She doesn’t seem to explain the lesson well.

2) Her English sucks balls so hard that it’d be a national record.

3) Apparently, she claims she didn’t “care” about us before our trial examinations because she thought we would be fine on our own.

4) Just seeing her face pisses me off to no end. (This started happening after the 3rd reason)

5) I could learn a lot more by doing my own revision at home, since what she teaches is 95% broken English, and is badly explained with stupid examples with the use of the Malay language. First the English, and now she tries to further fuck up the lesson with another language? That’s where I draw the line.

I went deeper into this teacher’s history and found that, she was only in this school for about 2 years or so. My friends told me that before her, there was a UBD trainee teaching Physics. Everyone passed with credits while the trainee was active. When the trainee was transferred to another school, this teacher took over. After that, the class immediately started to do badly in Physics. Hardly anyone could pass even class tests. Gee, I wonder why.

The lessons were to be conducted on the 14th and 15th September. That was Monday and Tuesday. Obviously, I didn’t attend.

I still had the consent form, up until yesterday. T’was a fine day yesterday, I picked up my dad’s lighter and started burning it. A joyous feeling it was.

Time to continue on with my revision.

I swear, time flies so fast without so much as a notice. It seems like only 5 months ago, I first set out to search for a school.

Things are going much smoother than last year. I’m actually picking up my books, and paying more attention to my teachers. I just hope it’ll all work out this time.

I haven’t exactly dismantled my computer, as mentioned in the previous post. I have realised that my computer, has too many uses to be kept away for over a month.

4) Getting notices from my friends.

In other news, I’ve been addicted to horror movies lately. Sure, right now isn’t the best time for watching movies, but hey, I have to relieve some stress.

And there was ONE guy, in my list, whose name included CHEE. He thought I took a shot at his name, and he starts PMS-ing to my other friend in MSN. This didn’t really piss me off, yet. So then, after discussing it with my other friend about it, I thought, “Ah, fuck it.”

I proceeded to make the guild, with a DIFFERENT name. Then I thought, OKAY, maybe we could just forgive and forget the whole thing, so I invited him to the guild, along with a few other friends. What did he do? He DECLINED, indicating he was still crying like a fucking sissy.

MOTHER FUCKER, YOU KNOW WHAT?! THIS MEANS WAR FUCKER!!! YOU THINK YOU THE ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD WITH THE NAME ‘CHEE’ ISSIT? HAR?? FUCKER NAUHIA CHEEBAI KIA!!! YOU THINK YOU KING ISSIT? Is it my fault that half his name sounds EXACTLY like a swear word? Is it my fault it is SPELLED the same way?

Bear in mind, the Singapore slang and spelling of words have been around longer than any of us, so why must any of us be offended should any of our names be spelled and/or pronounced the same way?

If my name was Mui Kit Fak, I wouldn’t get all shitass gay. Dude, my name sounds like “FUCK”, how much more awesome can a name get?! Me and my classmates would get a real laugh whenever the teacher took attendance.

The point is, please, grow some fucking balls. You’re just making yourself look like an idiot.

And in this modern world, they ARE treated more equally to men. They are given more rights, more privileges, more freedom. You can see many, MANY women nowadays, having super high position jobs, luxurious homes, big titles, and this is all due to their own hardwork. But you have to remember, they are what they are today, because of the past events, where women used to fight for the rights.

An example would be the 1700s, where women fought hard for the right to vote and participate in government and law making.

Before all of this, in the past, women were, as you can guess, treated very poorly. Having little right to do anything. Pretty much, they were forced to stay at home, raise the children, prepare the meals, do laundry, clean the house, do the shopping and much more. As shameful as it sounds, men were much more cruel to them back then. The women were treated almost like slaves in their own homes. The only time when they possibly could be close, would be when they were about to make children. Women feared men, and so did not try to get close to them, unless in love, but that love would later turn to fear anyway.

The world was pretty much split into two, the males and females. But of course, that is all in the past now. Women today, are generally much more comfortable around men. Some women prefer to be around more men, because they find their company much more relaxing or enjoyable. When this happens, they should know the risks.

The risks that they are likely to face-

Should women actually face these problems when around their guy friends, I would like to say, please, don’t get offended. You chose to be around men, and you should learn to handle it like one or at least calmly if you wish to continue to hang around with men. If not, please, fuck off and join your girl friends.

The reason why I’m blogging about this issue, is because of a little incident that happened while I was playing an online mmo.

I have a friend, she’s a girl, she hangs out with a lot of guys, and girls. But in game, she’s usually around guys, since, well, guys love to game.

Anyway, me and my friends(guys) have a habit of swearing as a joke. Nothing super offensive, just stuff like “naohia”, “nabeh” and so on. We find it entertaining enough, so we stick with it.

So I was talking to my friend(the girl) and I mentioned “naohia”, and she was like “Don’t swear at girls”, “Weak men swear at girls” and I was thinking like, “Bitch please….”

That really got me, I was like, she KNOWS I like to swear, she KNOWS how we(guys) say that word all the time, but what the fuck, she’s COMPLANING about it NOW?!?! I mean like, so it’s okay for you GIRLS, to swear at us, but we’re not allowed to do so?  True, generally girls don’t swear as much as guys, but it happens. So, where’s the equality in that? Men lowered their pride, though false pride, to suck it up and treat women more fairly, and this is what we get? We don’t force you to hang out with us. Really, we don’t. But should you(the girl) choose to hang out with us, you can’t expect us to change our ways, just for YOU(the female friend) ALONE, and you know what, YOU, the WOMEN, actually fought long and hard JUST to be treated more equally!!! We’re men, we don’t change that easily. I mean just look, it took centuries for women to FINALLY get their equal treatment.

Seriously, it may not be showing now, but I feel that now that women are being treated more equally, they’re starting to contradict themselves. Really. It’s like, we TRY to treat them more equally, we try to do stuff(our stuff) with them, socialize, stuff, whatever with them, but all of a sudden, they think it’s too “manly” for them. It’s not “girlish” enough. It’s “weak” for men to treat women like that. My point is, do women actually want us to treat them unfairly again? We’re trying our best not to, but they’re just never happy, are they?

Anyway, I got my midyear exam results back, overall, I think I did way better than last year, and I’m hoping I can do the same again for the ‘O’ Levels in a few more months.

Time flies so fast, eh?

It feels like just yesterday, I was stressing over what my previous results would be, and now I find myself almost sitting for the exam again. I guess life is weird that way. 3 to 4 more months to go.

I don’t plan on playing around anymore this year, before the exam. I’m going to take another long hiatus in September. I’ll be putting away my computer in boxes and won’t take it out til after the exams. Sounds…dangerous, I don’t think I’ve ever gone that long without a computer since I got my first one. But then again, one must take drastic measures sometimes. And this is one of those times.

Recently though, I’ve picked up a new passion. Building and researching on computers.

To put it short, I’ve become interested in building computers using various basic components from high-end models to low-end models, and researching on each component to find the best combination, within budget, of course.

I’m a fan of ATI, so I thoroughly enjoy my reading on its products. But that doesn’t mean I ignore one of its big competitor, nVidia. There are many, MANY products from both companies, so it’s sometimes a bother remembering some. Take for example, their graphic cards.

GeForce 9400 series, 9500 series, 9600 series, 9800 series and even the GT series. Each card with its own unique feature.

Intel’s latest processors, AMD’s processors, motherboards, LCD monitors, computer chassis, speakers and so much more, it provides such a great hobby.

There’s still tons I’ve yet to read, which just adds on to the fun.

A pal of mine is coming back from KL next week. Pretty excited about that. Can’t wait to see him after these few months. Need to plan some kind of get-together. Hopefully, this time we’ll succeed in a normal gathering.

Nothing much to update on. Downloading a game called DragonSky now. Been waiting for it to be released for a few weeks, so I’m pretty excited about it too. Bad thing is, there’s gonna be a server wipe after the closed beta ends, which means I can’t get too high lvl or something in game, unless I gain rock-hard determination when open beta comes.

Another bad thing, the file size is 1016.4mb big, and I’m downloading it at 12.5kb/s. Yeah, this is gonna take a while.

Lately, I’ve also been addicted to an old school anime, Detective Conan. I don’t know why, but I’m just attracted to this series. Has its ups and downs, but I’d say it’s a good anime.

Seems like only yesterday, it was only the beginning of 2009, and now it’s already May. Time for the Malay ‘O’ Levels. That’s like, today, in about 7 to 8 more hours.

My friend, who had left for Singapore a few weeks back is celebrating his birthday tomorrow. He won’t be here of course, so…yeah. We all miss him, and not having him around for his birthday is like, having salt rubbed into your cut wound.

Hope the exam goes well. And all that other stuff.
